Having photographed the Rambert’s production of Awakenings last year I was very excited to have a return invitation to the Lowry Theatre Manchester to photograph the Rambert Dance Company’s World Premiere of, ‘Seven For A Secret Never To be Told’. I was very privileged to photograph the full dress rehearsal and be given access close to the stage, in order that I could capture the images of this very talented company. ‘Seven for A Secret Never to Be Told’ is a truly unique and visually stunning production. Mark Baldwin, Artistic Director and choreographer of the Rambert, has excelled in what is a truly wonderful and captivating piece of choreography that would capture the heart of audiences beyond avid dance enthusiast’s. The extremely creative stage design and lighting encapsulate the imagination whilst the beautiful score played by the Rambert Orchestra fills the senses and takes you on a journey into the magical world. There were moments that, as much as I love taking dance photographs, I would have been very content to have put my camera down and enjoy the performance!
